Hello & Hafa Adai! My name is Lenny, but people call me Ogre! We know product is hard to come by in any game currently: Pokemon, MTG, Lorcana, etc. and finding the BEST deal lasts about .4 seconds online & the best deals one can find locally are near "scalper" prices. I'd like to remind customers that the LGS Owner, the Local Game Shop Owner, standing in front of you for the past 14 hours in a day, 7 days a week minimum is NOT a "scalper." We may have to do "scalper" prices, but that extra you had in your pocket goes towards a thing you, the Customer, and I, the Game Shop Owner have in common: Our passion to build tabletop players, and continue to build tabletop players no matter the cost. Let me prove to you what "no matter what the cost" exactly means: Think of some of the LGSs you have visited; some good, some bad, some meh...whatever they are or were, are they still around? Just think of it.
We will get grumpy. We get sad. We get very lonely in a room of 100 Players. However, what we, as Game Shop Owners, inherently know; the silver lining after the 100's of hours of unpaid labor we do for our Communities every week is this: No matter what happens to our [INSERT BUSINESS NAME HERE], no matter how or why our passionate work had to end; in our hearts we built players. Building players means building Communities, some you like, some you don't; but as long as they play the game, at the end of the day that makes every Player our biggest fan.
If you have the means, and you know the LGS you frequent has no safety net, no investors, no loans, no nothing, but passion, drive, heart, commitment, tenacity, etc. and you want to see us have a future, then don't question the price tag. It's the best we could do with what we got.
This message is dedicated to the Patrons of Enchanted Realms who saw us go unsanctioned for 2 years; who waited patiently until release day for all items because that was the soonest we could get it; and for the very VERY full house we had during those rough times.
